So charming.

This was my favorite book in 6th grade, and I loved visiting it again. Thirty years later, I can’t help but inwardly roll my eyes at Jane’s pure perfection, and the unwavering evil of the villains of the tale, but subtlety is not a hallmark of the genre. The honor granted to the humble home tasks, and the obvious love the author has for the natural world more than makes up for any lack.

Perfect read to get lost in. Imagine yourself in simpler times along the banks of the island.
