First off, let me say that I am in love with this edition, beautifully illustrated by one of my favourite artists: Luis Royo. (Ashton, if you're reading this, thank you for the wonderful gift, you are the best!)
I was a little nervous going in to this as Mr Martin and I don't always see eye to eye. I'm definitely not the biggest fan of ASOIAF or GoT even though I do read/watch them. This one however, did not dissapoint. It's a beautiful story with just the right amount of sadness thrown and I absolutely loved it. The only thing which threw me a bit was the ending. At first I didn't really like it but when I found myself still thinking about it and what it could mean an hour later, I had to admit that if a book can do that to me than it is a pretty friggin good book. Highly recommended, especially if you can find this edition.
Edit: After pondering it over a little bit more, I do have to state that the ending could have been done better. So the book isn't flawless, however I still stand by my rating.

Spoiler
It does feel a little rushed and I was a little puzzled by the part where her family doesn't believe her. Well what else did they think suddenly happened or where did that giant icy pond come from?lectarana's review against another edition

Game of Thrones izliyor musunuz? 4/5

I was surprised to find a George R.R. Martin story for children. I thought it was a fairly good short story and if I were reading it as a child I would likely enjoy this much more than some Newberry winners. It has action, but the fiery/frosty death is toned down. There might be an implied ravishing, but I doubt many children would pick up on it.
