I forgot to log it and I don't remember anything even though it's only been a bit more than a month, which is not a good sign. Whoops.
A little bittersweet that this was RJ's last (full) entry in WoT, but it was objectively brilliant from start to finish... Easily in my Top 5 books in the series. I'm glad that he had one awesome book that was fully his after the slog.
Ripped my face off. this is the first time i've felt sad that i'll finish this series soon. it still feels too big to wrap up tidily but we're in it now

this book thankfully ditched the trend this series has had the last couple of books where nothing happens. this book had some satisfying payoffs to things that have been teased for some time, and set up the story for its final arc. this is the last book in the series written by jordan before his death, and i’m intrigued to see how the 3 remaining books finished by brandon sanderson read.

I tried hard to like this book, but together with The Dragon Reborn and Crossroads of Twilight it is among the three worst books of the series. I hoped Jordan would at least go out in a bang with this one, but I guess it crumbled below the weight of the redundant plots it had to tie.
We finally get the Faile saving and Elayne crowning that we gave 0 fucks about and thus feel nothing. The minimum Rand was once again a bad idea and honestly it’s perplexing, unless the end goal was to just have a higher number of books in the series for the sake of sales. There was literally nothing to care about in the Knife of Dreams.
I guess now I’m about to see if Sanderson did better or if Jordan’s wife finished her job at butchering a great story.
