I actually quite enjoy this series! However, as with a lot of mystery series, you do start to notice the common threads between each book. That being said, I still love that the main protagonists are three older women, plus their friendly police sergeant friend. Despite the relative lightheartedness of the main characters, the mysteries they deal with tend to be pretty emotionally involved, dealing with some tough family issues and upsetting social dynamics. I don't think I will read another one of these books right away, but I certainly will come back to them in the future. I am curious about the personal stories of each of the three main characters, and hope that those will be explained a little more in future editions.
