Fourth installment of the Stardoc series, and my least favorite so far. Not as exciting as the first three, and it seemed rather contrived. Cherijo and Reever are kidnapped by a group of outcast Native Americans (who the author calls Indians) that live in abandoned tunnels under New Angeles. But they don't seem very real to me. The ending especially did not seem to make sense, although the very last bit was a very pleasant surprise, totally unexpected. Until that last surprise I fully intended to abandon the series, but now I'm rethinking that.
