I’m balancing between 3 and 4 stars for this review.
I was given a kindle copy of this to review for Jack Jordan’s publishing day.

The storyline itself was really interesting and unique, with well built characters. My favourite aspect of the book was the multiple perspectives from the wife, the husband, the neighbour and the mistress. I loved having an insight to each of their minds and discovering how just one day can be perceived so differently by different people involved.
I thought it was too short, and I would have liked to have seen more of the characters before this one day occurred. I also thought the ending was fairly predictable.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and thought the writing style was great. I can’t wait to read Jack’s other new book!

I’m not usually a big fan of novellas for the general reason; I tend to feel like they’re too short and you don’t get enough story or background to feel satisfied and things can also end up being rushed due to the short nature of them. However, this was completely different. I picked this up after seeing that Gaby from GNTxReads had read it. Last year I read before her eyes by Jack Jordan and I really enjoyed it and I hadn’t gone looking for his other books which I’m now kicking myself over.
This is told from 4 perspectives; we get the wife, the husband, the neighbour and the mistress. I definitely feel like I could connect more with each character because of them each getting their own chapters and it helped with developing backgrounds for them as it didn’t feel as forced and that one character was trying to explain who the other characters were. Because this is a thriller/mystery, I don’t want to give too much of the plot away, especially with the book being so short however it’s obvious from the blurb that the husband is cheating on this wife.
The writing was so fast paced yet I felt like there was enough description to give us insight into the characters and scene setting to really help flesh the story out. You get each character’s point of view told in an order and then that characters POV isn’t revisited, we rely on the other character’s stories to help fill in the blanks and connect the dots for the other characters which was so well done. The little twists and turns were so unexpected and like I just mentioned, there will little connections to the other character’s stories which just really helped link everything together.
I would 100% recommend picking this up; it’s a short read at only 123 pages so would be good if you want a quick read to get out of a slump and the story itself is great! Be warned though, you will want to read this all in one sitting as it’s that addictive!

He's churning them out fast, isn't he? Once again, a text that reads like a first draft of something that can definitely turn into a good thriller, but that never gets a chance. I wish Jack Jordan would start developing his text further, but it seems he is more about quantity than quality. I'm afraid this is it for me as a Jack Jordan Reader (at least for now), but I wish all the others all the best. He's got a lot of potential, but I sadly don't see any interest in developing it.

I read this short story on my flight home from holidays. I really, really wanted it to keep going as I loved the story so much!

Don't mess with a woman scorned - and this is one crazy rollercoaster of lies and twists. Great characters, and for a short story we find out a lot about them. Can any of them be trusted?

Such a great book - thanks to TBC and the author for a copy to read and love!

Jack Jordan has successfully delivered this juicy, sinister gem of a novella to keep the fans ticking over ahead of his next full novel (Before Her Eyes) release in August!

Yes, the title isn’t subtle- you know you can expect revenge by a woman scorned in this story but maybe knowing what you get is that which pulls you in… A woman scorned is a beast indeed and I was prepared to grab my popcorn and witness the hell on earth with properly nurtured amusement! Sorry, ladies, and I generalize a stereotype here so don’t take it personally, but when we, women, are truly pissed off, we can be a special kind of mean! :D *ducks behind couch*

As we are dealing with a novella, Jordan doesn’t dawdle about delivering the first big revelation. Page 2 on my Kindle, in fact. Just boom- and the game was on! Here I have to confess!!! I feel like I underestimated the author because the direction the story actually went and the note it ended on was in actuality a Great Dane next to the Beagle puppy that I was imagining as I started this novella…

I won’t uber-analyze this story bit by bit… characters, plot, this and that. What matters the most here is that as a whole, A Woman Scorned is THE perfect story for anyone who wants to spend a thunderous couple of hours completely captured! Every element this story rides on, was perfect and purposeful and so darned deliciously dark!

Because I will tell you a little secret… this story is not just about a woman’s revenge! No… this baby hides so much more in between its covers! 😉

So many twists!

This is a very quick read but well-plotted and utterly satisfying. I was rooting for one character the whole time and was certainly not disappointed. Hehehehe.

What a deliciously dark book this is.

Whilst only a shortish read with it being a novella, it had me gripped from the off.

The story is split into four parts, each being told in the point of view from each of the four characters. I absolutely loved this as it actually makes for some surprising reading.

I really had no clue in what direction the author would take me. With each part I was even more hooked and getting closer to the edge of my seat. It was like a ride on the waltzers, one minute you’re whizzing along only to be hurled into a different direction. I loved every second of it and couldn’t get enough of all the thrills that the author sent my way.

A Woman Scorned will certainly make you think twice about ever cheating, In fact it might even put you off marrying altogether! An absolute belter of a read by the author who just goes from strength to strength.
