Wow. This is an amazingly beautiful book. The words and phrases are perfect at every turn. I didn't like how quickly the main character changed. She went from innocent little child to messed up, slutty, gross girl too quickly for me. I didn't believe the change was a natural progression. Beautiful book, though.

Broooooooooo please applaud that I even finished this book. Oprah was lying when she put this book on her list. It’s so slow and way too poetic for my taste. I was constantly thinking get to the point! Overall not a terrible book just not my taste.

This book was alright.. It was interesting and I could understand the emotions the characters were feeling, but I think I've read too many books about people with depressing childhoods lately
