The 2nd half of the book is much better than the first half in my opinion because the story becomes clearer. I also liked the first quarter of the book, but the middle was difficult. The writing is a little inconsistent. I think to do the story justice, it needed to be longer or split into multiple books. We needed more descriptions of how people said thibgs or how emotions played across their faces. We needed more thoughts from the MC to show her making progress. The story itself is interesting and epic, and I loved the mythology but it got lost sometimes.
