Hercule Poirot, small in stature but not in brilliance. The egg looking gentleman is a lovable and intellectual fictional private detective. The reader has the pleasure of following alongside this odd character, and his distinctive Belgian accent, as he solves yet another unusual murder. Poirot stumbles into an intricately planned crime whilst he and other passengers on the Orient Express lay stuck in a snowdrift. Who has killed the man who tried to engage Poriot’s services just hours before his death? And are they among the passengers stranded on the train tracks? As the reader, all evidence available to our methodical protagonist is laid before our feet. We get the opportunity to utilize our “little grey cells” in an attempt to deduce the elusive killer before Monsieur Poriot. With a slow intricate build, one can see why Agatha Christi was renowned as the “Queen of Mystery”.

Не певен, що потягну на повноцінний відгук. Але якщо коротко: це було дуже гарне й напружне чтиво.

It was a great read! I enjoyed it a lot. Unfortunately, I read it very slowly and wasn't able to truly appreciate it to it's fullest but still fun :)

This is my Second Agatha Christie book. The way the author crafts the story and engages the audience and the progression of the story and it's characters never cease to amuse me. The way the she writes it: the audience as well as the characters have the same amount of information to move forward with and the ending of the story gave me the satisfaction of reading a thriller.
