They kind of forgot about the struggles of Talltail's relationship with Sandgorse. It didn't adress that he was a bad father and made his son feel terrible for years, and once he died he became obsessed with avenging his death. I think they could have had that plotline and also dealt with his complicated feelings about his father and feeling inadequate at the same time.
I felt that I could relate to how he felt stagnant in WindClan and had to take time away to find where his heart truly belonged, and then upon his return, he appreciated it much more.
I also wish that they didn't avoid a satistfying Shrewclaw redemption by just killing him off. I dunno.
