I mean, sure I curated and edited it but that's not (the main reason) why! These prayers are such a gift for this moment in time - honest, real, hopeful, imaginative, and permission-giving language for the prayer circle we need right now. Grateful to be part of it.

This will be one I keep going back to. Such an amazing group of women included in this collection.

What a beautiful reflection of what honest prayers look like. This book will lift and care for your spirit in a way that only Bessey and her contemporaries know how -- with full love and grace.

This is an excellent grouping of prayers. Words for my heart when I have none. Elequently putting on the page what my soul wants to speak but cannot. There are words that are comfort and some that challenge. I'm so grateful for this work.

Just beautiful. I paced myself with just a few prayers a day as part of my Lenten practice and will immediately start over. I can tell already that my copy of this is going to become one of those lovely worn books that you keep forever.

This little book has become my prayer book. I turn to this collection almost weekly, whether for personal use or if I need a written prayer for a gathering/worship service. Bessey and all those involved did incredible work writing these prayers and I am so thankful my copy has worn edges and a few bent pages. A must read.

A beautiful collection of prayers and reflections, particularly for those who care deeply for justice.

An absolute pleasure to read. Sarah Bessey and the many other contributors created this diverse set of prayers that will serve you no matter where you are in life. I'm blessed to have read this in the middle of a semester where life was busy and a few words of encouragement is what I needed to get through the rest of the school year. My only recommendation is read it a bit slower than I did. Very much a slow pick up/put down book to find prayers when you need them.

I love this book. It lives on my bedside table and so I will never be done reading this, but I have finished it more than once.
