What the book was putting across was unique and interesting however there was a lot of needless filler that didn't add to the story enough to justify it, the first 200 pages could have been about 10 pages. I loved the idea and narrative but the execution was tedious

Den var veldig treig, spesielt når det kom scener med matlaginger - som jo var poenget med boka. Var ikke helt min favoritt.

Outstanding!

It's been a while since I have devoured any book. It kept me hooked until the very end and now that it's over, I feel sad. This book is the reason why I am now fascinated by Japanese culture and cuisines!
