There are more triggers in this book than there are mosquitos in the South on a muggy Summer night.
For about 70% of the book I absolutely hated Sin. But then of course the twist of the damn century happens and changed my whole perspective of him.
You know a book is great when it successfully pisses you off to no end, and makes you LOATHE characters.
After getting past my anger and realizing why Sin did what he did to protect Elli, I have to say The Sinner is better than The Ritual to me.

SO I HAVE TO SAY THAT HANDS DOWN THIS BOOK WAS MY LEAST FAVORITE OUT OF ALL OF THE BOOKS SO NONE OF THE LORDS ARE REALLY GOOD PEOPLE PER SAY BUT I DID NOT LIKE SIN I DIDNT LIKE THE WAY HE WAS TREATING ELLIE THE WAY HE MANIPULATED HER AND THAT'S WHAT THEY ALL DO THEY MANIPULATE THE GIRLS BUT NOT IN THE WAY THAT SIN DID HE WENT WAYY OVER BOARD ALSO THIS STORY IS WAYYY DARKER AND ANY OF THE OTHER ONES HER PAST IS SUPER FUCKING SAD HE CONSTANTLY GETTING RAPED AND ABUSED BY SO MANY DIFFERENT PEOPLE AND TIMES SHE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT BECAUSE SHE WAS TO OUT OF IT AND THE CONSTANT THREAT OF THEY'RE GONNA COME BACK FOR ME THEY'RE GONNA RAPE ME AGAIN WAS JUST TO MUCH FOR ME IN THIS BOOK THE SPICE WAS GOOD I SUPPOSE I HAVE TO LIKE SUN FOR HOW MUCH HE CARES ABOUT HER BUT I ALSO DON'T LIKE THE WAY HE PUSHED HER AWAY I KNOW HE HAD TO MAKE IT SEEM REAL BUT TO TELL HER THAT SHE'S NOTHING BUT A WHORE AND TO SAY OH DID YOU ACTUALLY THINK I LOVED YOU HE USED EVERYTHING THAT EVERYONE ELSE WHO HAD ABUSED HER TOLD HER AND THEN HE SAID IT JUST SO THAT EVERYTHING WOULD LOOK BELIEVABLE AND THAT'S SO FUCKED UP THAT'S LIKE A MAJOR REASON WHY I DON'T LIKE SIN
DNF at 35%. You can hardly call this CNC or BDSM it’s basically just SA and even for fantasy I just can’t with the lack of consent, safe words, after care etc??? Too dark for me to get into.

And sweet Elli.. her life is tragic. She just needs someone to be there for her and tell her there's nothing wrong with her and that she's loved.
This book was way more smut than plot, but I definitely didn't hate it. Definitely check your triggers before you read. Sin, Sin, Sin. My man. You made some pretty irredeemable choices, but in the end I was still rooting for you and Elli.. what does that say about me?
