The narration was excellent! I love dark romance and love Shantel Tessier books, but this one was outside my comfort zone. The amount of emotional manipulation of the fmc was just too much for me. To me Sin doesn't have enough redeemable qualities to make up for the amount manipulation and abusive behavior he has. Great writing though and great twists in the plot.

I enjoyed this one, but I didn't love it like the first one. Elli drove me nuts at times & I struggled with liking her character, but the ending was great!

Overall the book was good but it genuinely didn't hold a candle to The Ritual. I loved the last 25% of the book but the rest had too minimal of a plot contribution that i felt like i was wondering where the storyline was.
Sin and Elli’s relationship was just as twisted as Ryat and Blakely’s with the same amount of yearning and obsession that we all love within a dark romance.
I will say though, as always READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS!!! It is very heavy and does discuss various triggering topics through the book.
