I did not care for this book at all. Sin is fucking horrible and I absolutely hated the way he treated Elli the entire book. He was mean and treated her like shit 95% of the book.

I felt really bad for Elli and what she went through. My heart really broke for her and there was some parts of her story that I had to skip. I just could not read it. The fact that Sin knew at least part of what she went through and still did some of the things he did, did not sit right with me. Fuck Sin.

The best part of this book was the second epilogue.

"Easton “Sin” Sinnett and Ellington “Elli” Asher, are students at Barrington University, a prestigious college in Pennsylvania. Set in the same world as The Ritual, Barrington is home to an exclusive, secret society, the Lords, that readies it’s male membership to become the next generation of powerful, if untouchable, elite leaders across the country." yes, cue eye roll but I have to be honest. I just fucking love this series. It's a dark alpha romance at its fullest. I thought Ryatt was insane but he has nothing on Sin.

The only criticism I have, and I honestly can't believe I am saying this, but I wish there was less smut and more character development in their interactions outside of physical. Having said that, I love the hell out of this toxic world. I wouldn't last a day in it but I will damn well enjoy pretending I would.

Love it, I was hooked in no time! This being the second book of the series I will say The Ritual is still my favorite. There is a lot of SA from her past being described and a few current moments when she was trapped. The plot is fucking wild lol, literally shocked me multiple times and I mean my jaw was on the floor. Sin was in my opinion just a rough version of Ryat, a little meaner but I think he changed through the book as he fell more in love with Ellie tbh. Love that he’s the revenge type too! Overall a great read and I’m grabbing the next!

what in the holy mothers of rollercoasters have I just been through
