Phewwwww this book was wild!! Sin is extra crazy! I did have to put this book down for a little bit and read a rom com in between lol cause wowwww 🥵🔥

This one was disappointing. I LOVED the ritual and this one had it's moments but overall it was exhausting.
Ellie is literally sexually assaulted by everyone. Poor girl never had a chance to learn about consent. The worst part maybe how she sees herself as at fault.
Sin was not great for her. He knew her past abuse and played into it honestly. He never tried to help her heal. He just added more trauma.
Also in the middle he was absolutely horrible to her and it never really clarified why. I think it's because they were married and then she had to be tested to be a lady? But again I wasn't 100% sure that's why he was awful to her. He never explained it to Ellie. She just kinda accepted he was back in her life again.
Also the Lord's weren't really part of this book. I don't know how Sin got away with half the stuff he was doing. The Ritual made it seem as if the Lords were some all powerful force that you could never disobey, but Sin just did whatever the fuck he wanted.
The ending also drug on and on. I got confused with all the different characters who betrayed them. There was a whole story line with a guy named Chance (I think). He was Ellie's betrothed for awhile and he was helping Sin somehow but not really. Because when he thought Sin was dead he tried to assault Ellie.
Oh and there was the whole Carnage thing? What the fuck was that? It's ran by 3 brothers who just torture people? I don't know what Ellie's Dad did to deserve their torture but he was there for like 9 years. And why didn't Ellie's Mom/Sin's Dad actually kill him? Why did they kill the twin and leave the Dad alive but being tortured? It seemed like a lot of necessary hassle and loose ends.
