An adorable read! This is the perfect cosy, slow book. You'll just keep reading and you'll probably feel all warm and fuzzy over all the cuteness!

four stars ! very fun and cute read, but the beginning didn’t draw me in, and the third act conflict didn’t even happen until the ninety percent mark and felt a bit rushed. nevertheless, i loved the two main characters and how they bounced off each other: lots of fun :,)

Guys, I just can't. I can't force myself to finish this book. Luc is insufferable, the side characters are one dimensional and uninteresting, and I can't in good conscience root for this relationship when Luc clearly needs to seek professional help for his problems, but no one suggests it and instead he and everyone think him starting a relationship will solve his problems. Sorry, but Oliver already has his own baggage, he doesn't need to be playing counselor and lover to someone who needs professional help. It looks like readers and I will never get away from the plague that is the "love cures all" trope.

Obviously, take my opinion with a grain of salt. Clearly I'm in the minority here, so give this a try if you want to. But this was not for me.

Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall

PROS:
⭐️Handles heavy subject matter while still managing to be a light and fun read.
⭐️Enemies to Frenemies to Lovers
⭐️Struggle with self identity in the face of being over shadowed by one’s parents.
⭐️Lovely friendships

CONS:
⭐️Only the first one is on Kindle Unlimited
⭐️Both our main boys are a little neurotic in their own ways, and it is well written enough that it can hit a little too close to home.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out 5 for this reformed bad boy
