this wasn't so much insightful as it was affirming. I do wish Harmange approached her essay with less preachy anecdotes and a bit more formal evidence but nevertheless

3.5 while there were some ideas in here that I really loved and were explained really well, the lack of depth leaves something to be desired. I wish this was longer and more detailed because it was truly a beautiful essay. A great introduction to feminist ideas, I felt like things were said in here that woman are often afraid to say and I really appreciated that.

this was a bit of a let-down unfortunately :( i agree with another review i saw earlier that pointed out how this book just kept repeating already-uttered concepts and never really introduced something new. it also felt a bit...white (?) a consequence of the author being white, i'm sure. but yeah, this could've been way better.
