This is 4.5 stars. It’d be 5 if the illustrator didn’t put a sign in the library that says quiet. Please stop perpetuating the library as a 1950s drag of a place to be.

This book is just fine. It has a good message ; that inside every child is a power, a responsibility to learn to be kind and take care of yourself and others and to believe yourself capable and important but...it's very simply written and drawn and lacks a sort of umph that I would have liked to see. The point is there and there are some sweet moments but, nothing tremendously exciting or original. Good to check out from the library but not one that is super memorable or one that makes you think 'I gotta check it out again'!

What a beautifully illustrated reminder to our young girls about how they are capable, strong, smart, and beautiful, and connected to everything and everyone around them.

Fabulous empowering book.

I absolutely loved reading this book to my precious baby girl. Who is also red headed and blue eyed and a fierce little goddess just like the main character in the illustrations. This is a very empowering book for little girls and I’m thankful to add it to our growing collection.

This read was great! I felt it is such an amazing book to have little girls read! I wish it was longer but still great for those budding girls!! The artwork was great too!

I'm very grateful for Goodreads and the publisher for the giveaway and providing a finished copy of this book. *This does not impact my review in any way.*

This book is super cute. I love the illustrations and the message being sent across. But. From reading the synopsis before receiving the book, I had thought there would be a little more substance. There aren't a lot of words and there are a good deal of the pages that are repeated as she wakes up/goes to bed. (Okay, it's a kid book. I know. But it is targeted to ages 4-8.)

I did really like that the little girl in the story talked about kindness.

Then again, I do not have children. Nor do I know what kids like. I'm sure this would be a cute book to share with them anyway.

I love how positive this is for young readers. It's got lovely vibrant illustrations which I found pleasing to look at.

But for the hippie title I am ALL for the messages in this book.

I can get behind this one. Love the title, love the message. I foresee a little cousin receiving this in the future. 🌞
