It's an easy read. I like that this book shows the individuality of each sister, which I find crucial. It made me realized that we all have our own perspectives and goals in life and we are neither right or wrong about them. Follow whatever works well for your life. I have sisters so this resonates well with me.

this was so long but so good!
deducted .5 cause the book put me in a slight book slump lol. BUT, i did love everyone's dynamics so much and the way everyone was written made me attached to each one of them; my fav is definitely amy and laurie, their whole relationship is so heartwarming i could literally go on and on about how perfectly they go with each other. but, jo and laurie's friendship is one for the books too! ngl, their reunion scene is in my top 5 fav scenes in the book.
no one asked but my top 5 scenes (which i just realized are mostly abt my favs lmao) would probably be:
1. amy absolutely destroying laurie (lazy laurence) and telling him to grow tf up
2. laurie's calm and simple proposal to amy on the lake
3. laurie-jo reunion where they cleared up the air to rekindle their friendship/sibling-like affection (also, laurie clearly stating his feelings for amy and the difference of what he has/had for jo)
4. laurie confessing to jo and getting rejected, dumped, bro-zoned, friend-zoned, etc-zoned, and then proceeding to go as faw away as possible from her
5. castles in the air chapter/the whole last chapter <3

Finally finished it! It took me near enough 5 months, I listened to first half on Podcasts, and the rest on audible, I enjoyed this on audible, made it come alive, I'm not a classics person but listening to these are alot better. I think the rating would be lower if I didn't listen to half of this on audible so if your not a classics person then try audible. 🎧
Such a happy ending and had me tearing up thru the sad parts, so glad to now be able to say I've read Little Women ❤️

A very touching “manual” on growing up to be a good person
