Not a cliffhanger with no book to purchase next!!! Ahhhhhh. Book 10 cannot come soon enough.
I have loved this entire series. Following the MacKenzie and Fraser journey has been an emotional roller coaster for the last few years. Diana Gabaldon is a magnificent storyteller.
Davina Porter does a fabulous job narrating the audio books! About halfway through the series, I stopped reading myself and listened to her narrate instead.
I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment!

Man I think I'm finally burnt out on these books. This one felt like it could have been split into a Jamie and Claire book, a Bree and Roger book, and a John and William book because I kept forgetting what was going on with the other storylines. Also can we talk about how absurd it is that at the beginning of this series, people called Claire a witch because she knows about germs and by this book she can heal people with a magic blue light????

It was lovely to be back with the Frasers at first, but the long sections of the Grey’s (especially William) and the fact that so much of this book still focuses on the “American Revolution” really bogged it down. I grew tired of so much detail over two books with so little time actually passing. I think I’m done with this series, and it’s a shame that Gabaldon continues to take focus off of the main characters and their interesting new relatives like Rachel and Denzell in favor of the Greys and other boring war plotlines.
