I admit, the first half of the book seemed to go rather slow (or not go anywhere at all) but still I enjoyed a lot reading it. There's just something special being back in Outlander world.

Omg, she did it again

It took her long enough to publish this saga of the Fraser family and those on Fraser's Ridge, but the wait was well worth it. My heart went through ups and downs with this book nine. I just love Claire and Jamie's love for each other and their family. I was not expecting Frank to have a prominent influence on the Fraser household and their dealing with what is to happen in their future. William is in a quandary about his bio dad, and he is being drug into the mysterious disappearance of his Uncle Ben and his father.

Claire and Jamie are still recovering from the burning of their first home. The Revolutionary War is ticking up and Jamie has to navigate between the loyalist and the rebels. I just knew that my favorite Scott would be decimated but Claire is coming into the pinnacle of her power and refused to give up on the love of her life. My heart was full reading this scene and it brought me to tears. I wish all women could experience the beauty of love that Jamie and Clare have for each other.

I just hope that Diana does not wait so long for book 10.

NOTE: This book was read and listened to in conjunction with Audible.com. The narrator Davina Porter did an excellent job moving between characters and really made the story come to life.

Gah... I knew when William rode up and there was like 4 mins left in the Audiobook that Diana was going to end the book the way she did. Doesn't make me happy about it... But I'll just have to deal until the next book comes out.
