I love the whole Outlander series but we've come to the point where most of the story is truly unnecessary. I still enjoyed the book but kept wondering whether everything really needed to be in it.

I'm highly disappointed in this long-awaited book. While I know Gabaldon doesn't write in a linear fashion, this book seems very disjointed and many scenes were extraneous to any of the story lines. Which is another problem - there are so many insignificant characters from previous books who are reintroduced in this book, but they add nothing to the story (can we please kill off Percy Wainwright yet?).

I hate to say it, but I was bored throughout this whole book. Normally I cannot put down an Outlander book, but this one did not hold my attention at all.

I absolutely love all outlander books and this was the very first one I have did audio on. It was a wonderful adventure and DG never disappoints with her tale of love, history and adventure. Claire and Jamie’s love story is bench mark of all
Couples and will be so sad when their tale comes to an end. Jamie Fraser will be forever king of Men and best book husband ever 🥰
