Oh my god. I should have known. I KNEW after the last one that this book was going to be almost too hot to handle. But this??? It needs an E rating for Explicitly Exceeds Expectations!!! I was at work damnit. My office chair is ruined. Read this.

This was book 2 in the series and displayed only one couple, and they were really interesting, this is definitely awakening something in me.
Cause tentacles? Oviposition? god, I hope no one who knows me irl finds this Goodreads account.

The heroine in this one is my favourite, she is this academic ice queen that is doing this "for science" but slowly gets to show her emotions during the hosting process as she starts to get along with the Nepenthe that she is paired up with sho shares the same interests as her and it's just sweet and cute, I wish a bit of her story is developed in later books cause there some unresolved storylines.

Also, I want to see more of the couple and hopefully, it would turn into an MMF with Farroh

Even more boring than book 1 even tho it had a mfm threesome in it…
The writing was confusing and trying too hard, very clinical instead of “erotic”

3 pairing, not a fan. FL was not likable to me. Fucks a human to show how they couple then has sex with the alien.

Nobody writes like Octavia Hyde/Eris Adderly. I devour everything she writes. I also appreciate that she does her own cover art, as it really gives us a great glimpse of how she imagines her characters. Her characters have depth, humor, and vulnerability. This series about how the Nepenthe species and humans team up to survive is riveting. This author writes excellent SCI-FI romance. Her world building and descriptions are thorough and relevant without feeling like information dumps. The Nepenthe aren’t mammals like us, but intelligent life form cephalopods. How does it work? Mrs. Hyde makes it seem feasible. Not only that, but the Nepenthe are lovable!

MF human sex and MF alien human sex all from the POV of the alien!!!
Oviposition
It's a smart lady fucking an octopus-like alien okay

Overall this is great lmao. It's definitely erotica NOT romance (not really a HEA more a content for now kind of end). The end also set up some kind of interest for the third book in the series so I'm keen!

Absolutely loved that it's from the POV of the alien only. It makes it a weird as read and so much more interesting than other alien fucking books. I wish that the POV didn't leave out some information I'm curious about i.e. what she's actually thinking. I want these cuties to talk a tiny bit more!
