There was so much build up and story in the beginning. I couldn’t put the book down at first. However, ending felt a little rushed. Ending was pretty funny to me. Overall enjoyed the book.

“I tried so hard to run from him, and now all I want to do is run to him.”
This duet was INTENSE & about as DARK as they come. The CNC in book one made me squirm a little, but for some strange reason it intrigued me so I kept reading. By the time I was midway through book one, I knew I was hooked on Addie and Zane’s story.
Since I had read the trigger warnings for book one and I was dying to find out what happened after it ended, I skipped over the preface and triggers for book two and dove in head first. That was a mistake. Book two is even darker than book one, and has to be the darkest, most triggering book I’ve ever read. Graphic violent rape, bloodletting, choking, and just general violence was very hard for me to process and I nearly put the book down.
But I was so invested in the story, I trudged through it, and I’m glad I did. And now that I’ve finished, I realize the story wouldn’t have hit the same if the author had skimmed over the more uncomfortable parts of this story. The characters, even secondary and background characters, are well written and come right off the page.
I don’t have enough superlatives for these books. They’ll stay with me for a long time and I will seek out everything else the author has written.

Ehem the trauma that I have experienced and didn’t even fathom that I would experience was very eventful. This certainly was a lot harder to read than the first simple because it gets a whole darker with the trafficking and all that. It is however a satisfying ending to ZADE and Adeline’s story though we both know I would love even a short novella to see them again~ Anywho! It was good finale to everyone’s fucked up fantasies <3
