I genuinely loved this book. I hated the things these characters went through, but I also loved to see who they turned into after the fact. Watching Addie and Zade learn how to work with her trauma was so sweet, and I know that I need therapy now due to just how much I loved them together. I also just......I love Zade, like.....help.
I also really love Sibby and will be on the look out for ANYTHING to do with her in the future. I love Jay as well, and I hope the little scaredy cat can be happy in ways that he deservessss! And Daya......Well, I just love that bitch through and through.
I love H.D. Carlton so far, so I will 100% be reading her books again the the future.

More graping and just a terrible book overall
This book took me about a day to read because I was so interested in what was going to happen following the first books ending. It’s definitely 10x darker than the first one, but I’d go into either of these books sparingly. I read lots of reviews and the warnings beforehand to make sure, but if you can remind yourself it’s a book throughout, it ends up being a great read.
Zade and Addies ending on this book upset me only because I wanted an epilogue or bonus chapter so badly, to see how their life ended up. I don’t wanna call it a happy life considering it’s not what any of us would call happy, but for these 2, it’s damn magical
