This second part is much darker than the first so I recommend you read all the triggers and warnings before proceeding with this book. The first part of the book was really strong every single thing that happened really squeezed my heart, Adeline was strong enduring every day countless things that happened to her in that place that were really quite graphic some even hard to read. If this is your first dark romance I recommend you start with something more easygoing than this book because if you like to preserve your mental sanity this book is not for you. I read it for all the hype and because I liked the first book quite a bit but this particular one goes a bit overboard in terms of descriptions. Although what Zade does to protect everyone is admirable, he wants every abused person to be safe, giving them hope to keep living.
The moments that Zade and Adeline are together the chemistry between them I quite like the touch and kill-you trope I like it, it lacks a little more in terms of those moments together they focus more on the horrible thing that happens to Adeline than on her and Zade's relationship. Still, I liked how the cat and mouse ended up.
My favorite character was Sibby she made me laugh so much her scenes were the best and unique, her henchmen as she thinks they are true how she treats them, and how Zade and Adeline come to have affection for her in some way or another. I want to read more about Sibby love her.
