Nope. Not a fan and disliked the first book even more after reading the second. I liked Adeline in the first book and grew to really dislike her in the second because of the person she became after her trauma. Zade is a monster. Real men learn to tame their monsters and use their strength for good. Zade fought evil, but took out his issues on Adeline. Backwards and dysfunctional. I would have really enjoyed therapeutic and holistic healing for Adeline and for Zade to have become the man she needed...her hero, too, and not inflict more pain. This was disturbing because of what happened to her during her abduction, but also because of their relationship. So disappointed and disturbed.

***I hope anyone who is truly hurting and gone through trauma to find safe professional therapeutic help and heal. Truly heal and feel safe in the world, again.

jeSUS that was insane… i’ve read dark romances before? what the fuck was that?

➜ Hero - Zade, I just have no words for how incredible this man was. His love, devotion, commitment, and obsession with Adeline was just so god damn beautiful. He definitely was exactly what she needed and their relationship was one of the best I have ever read. Zade honestly is just one of my top favorite book boyfriends ever. He helps her heal and never leaves her side.

➜ Heroine - Adeline’s journey was dark, heartbreaking, honest, empowering and just beautiful. While, painful to read at times her storyline and character development was just fantastic. Her healing and recovery was a bit unconventional at times but exactly what she needed for herself and for her relationship with Zade.

➜ Overall Review - The conclusion and epilogue was absolutely perfect and definitely worth all that heartache. Zade and Adeline’s unconventional love story is one for the ages. Overall, just a heartbreakingly beautiful read and ending to the Cat and Mouse duet. The spice in this book was also just fantastic. It’s dark, kinky and intense, and while it doesn’t occur until about 65% into the book it’s definitely worth it after all Adeline and Zade went through.

➜ smut -

Oh vaya…

I'm finally finished this cursed book. i will never again pick up this series as i have been scarred for life. i need therapy after reading hunting Adeline. why would you even write this. there is nothing nice, or pure or even enjoyable in this book. i cannot even start to fathom why people love Zade who is nothing but what he wants to destroy. he is just as bad as the human traffickers that he sets his whole life out to kill. i cannot understand people who think that they like Zade and want him. he was disgusting throughout the whole book and i am traumatised from what he did. and Adeline, the girl needs to be locked up in a room. how does someone go from being a sweet girl to someone who is revolting and a blood thirsty killer who lets Zade punish and condemn her. like what was i reading. though i hated this book i would say that it was much better than the first book as i felt that this one at least followed a story line that was a least a fraction of a bit interesting to read, but then about halfway through the book it just goes downhill and again is just sickening. the book should have just ended halfway through it. just don't read this book. i am so happy it's over and have never be more relieved to have a book finished so i never have to touch it again.
