Felt forced. Wasn’t the same vibe as first.

Pros: I liked Sibby.
Cons: everything else

I wish I could rate this less than a one. I didn’t really like the first book. Zade was abusive and a rapist but I wanted to see where the cliffhanger ended up. The 2nd book is not my thing at all. If you like reading about rape then maybe this is for you. The first 60% of the book didn’t even have smut scenes. Just rape.

This had less spice in it and was much darker than the first book with some parts being heavy to get through, but it was just as good and kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what was going to happen the whole way through. I only wish there would’ve been more clarity about the random person that shows up at the end as it felt like an unnecessary plot twist with there being no third book to follow through with it.

Honestly and truly, this is one of the best series I have ever had the pleasure of reading. It isn’t for the faint hearted by any means with the abuse of power and the abuse of practically everything inside the very bones of Zade Meadows. I have never been kept more on edge by a book before, just when you think you can figure out what is going to happen the writer blows you away with information and parallels you think you have forgotten and she pulls them back to the front of your mind. I hate how this is the end but it was a great end, one that didn’t leave me disappointed by any means. Truly an amazing series that I am so glad I read!
