I definitely enjoyed the first book better however I did enjoy this one!

It was DARK. Like very dark. Huge trigger warnings for SA and trafficking etc (more than the first)

That being said the aspects of the traffficking and seeing her first hand experience being in that situation alone had my heart pounding. This one had me frequently on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next.

Downsides were little to no romance. And the romance there was just felt a little off and forced. Definitely felt more like a trauma bond but some parts were still cute!
