I thought the first book, although ridiculous, was still entertaining. This one... I just can't seem to care for the characters. Adeline is faking her bravery and Zade still has his God complex going on... I'm hella annoyed

3.5⭐️ I really enjoyed this one more than Haunting Adeline but it’s not to say I loved it or anything… so rounding down for GR. While Part 1 was really intense, I did enjoy that part more. Part 2 was just like Haunting Adeline, I still loathed the spice scenes - I’m probably entirely too vanilla for this book, and ended up skimming over them. I would have enjoyed an epilogue a lot more if it didn’t have yet another spice scene, it got old. Also, it still doesn’t make any sense to me the relationship Addie and Zade have after EVERYTHING she went through, I don’t get it. Zade's God complex got really old. The writing still isn’t that great and a lot of the dialogue, actions and storyline were either cringy or unbelievable, but somehow this book pulled me in enough to finish quickly given it is over 600 pages and I read it all (no audio this time).

My favorite part of this book was Sibby even though I truly despise how the book treated a person with mental disorders. She’s still my favorite unhinged character and I’d love to read about what happens next with her. I still need to read Satan’s Affair, but unsure I will since I know her origins already and it won't have as big of an impact for me.

This one is also super super dark with many trigger warnings, please know what you are getting into before picking this one up. It is not for the faint of heart.

nothing like the first book

The triggers for this one are worse than the first. It’s definitely dark 75% of the book and not in the fun way. I felt closer to Zane this books and his stalking makes more sense. Boy does he have a way with words

Holy shit. This book was rough to get through bc of dark content.

I definitely do not have a blood kink!! I’m glad this book had more plot but overall it’s still soooo millennial. Idc what you say Sibby pmo it’s like she was supposed to be unhinged in a funny way but it really wasn’t. The amount of times the book used the same word “ying yang eyes” “orbs” let’s go ahead and get a thesaurus babe! Safe to say booktok was wrong about this one.
