It took me way too long to realize this is Taylor/Travis fanfic. Still, was I supposed to want these two characters to end up together? The on again/off again when I wasn’t even invested in their romance (which there was none of) makes me think they totally broke up after that last scene. No well-developed side characters (sort of bonding over family members battling addiction, but main characters never actually talk about it?) and I think Jimmy actually needs help. Lacy girl I think you’re about to write the sports edition of ttpd
2.5 ⭐️ Oh my gosh I don’t even know how to rate this. On an entertainment level, it’s a high score because this is CLEARLY Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce fan fic and it’s HILARIOUS and it was so NOT subtle. I just knew I was going to finish this short little book. But also, how is this an actual book that is at my library? It was hilarious, entertaining, and short enough to finish in like, 2.5 hours. So take that however you want.
Quick, fun, very ripped from the headlines, but the ending was a bit of a miss for me
Liked the parts that felt original, felt very uncomfortable with the parts that felt like Taylor Swift fanfiction.

Not bad for TS-TK fanfic. Loved their chemistry but the on/off again was a bit repetitive. I wish there was more time developing their romance.

I truly wish I had the ability to DNF this book but it seems as one of those stories that are bad to the point that you’re entertained how bad it is. It really is a fanfic about Taylor and Travis, which full transparency I am not a fan of Taylor. I am almost convinced Taylor Swift ghost wrote this book herself. There was no depth to the character and you really didn’t get to know them as a reader; it didn’t even feel like the characters knew each other either. Lacy and Jimmy lacked chemistry and even their physical intimacy sounded mediocre at best. Lacy was self absorbed, entitled, and lacked awareness. Jimmy did not seem into her at all. Both lacked emotional regulation and intelligence. I could see what the author was trying to do with the ending but it didn’t land well; an epilogue would’ve worked better in my opinion. Overall, not for me. Maybe a huge fan of TS would appreciate it more but even then, perhaps online fanfics may better suite their needs.
