Juuuuuust shy of five stars for me, I genuinely loved this so much and have been gushing about it to friends constantly. I do think it suffers from its short length - it really feels like it cuts out before we have enough time to enjoy the third act, but also I think I just wanted more time with Lacey and Jimmy.
One of my favorite very niche tropes is celebrities falling in love and HEAVY HITTER delivered. I’ve been in such a reading slump but I honestly had trouble putting this down. Very much a Taylor and Travis fan fiction-y read (I like what I like, okay?

If you enjoy contemporary romance novels, and are looking for a quick read that follows all the typical benchmarks of the genre, you might enjoy this. I didn't find it to be a bad read, there was just nothing special about it either. You've got a pro baseball player that hooks up with a pop star one night, that somehow develops into a kind of relationship. Throw in some drama/tension because of their celebrity, some required detailed spiciness, and an eventual neat and tidy HEA wrap up, and you've got yourself this book.
Couldn’t feel the chemistry or any attachment to the main characters. Oh and he referred to himself as a “fat fuck” so.
