I thought this book was fine. It didn't have much depth to it, not that I expected a complex story from a novella, and very little happened. It spent a lot of time on conflicts that didn't interest me and weren't very compelling. I know this is a prequel to another book by this author, but it did nothing to want me to read the book that follows it.

Unfortunately I was not a fan of this book. Maybe it was the couples, maybe it was the way she went back and forth between the couples. I don't know. But all I know is, if my husband chose business over me on our honeymoon, there is nothing he could tell me to get me to take him back. I understand the whole love triumphs over all but it still came off as a little codependent instead of real love. Especially for Sophie; that was not real love at all. That was co-dependency. And Liv's husband gave me no reason to think that things would be different in the future. I guess that's the point of books like this. To allow for debates on what they should've done differently etc.

This was a great prequel to The Girl You Left Behind! Quick and easy read. I read it after I read The Girl You Left Behind, but it was great to read about the characters lives before.

Very sweet. I think I will be very glad I read it once I start The Girl You Left Behind.

Glad this wasn't the first Moyes I read - there wouldn't have been any others.

It wasn't until I got to the end of The Girl You Left Behind, that I realized their was a prequel novella for it. Luckily, in my copy of the book, the entire novella was there, so I wasted no time reading it right after I finished The Girl You Left Behind.

Honeymoon in Paris gives a backstory to the two main characters in TGYLF, Sophie and Liv and their respective marriages and "honeymoons". The short chapters alternated between the two stories and since I was already invested in both of these characters, I really enjoyed the extra insight into their love stories with their husbands.

Even though this is a "prequel", I really think it's best to read AFTER reading The Girl You Left Behind. For me, it just gave me a little bit more after finishing the main book, and it was a pleasure to have the story continue for a little bit longer, even if it was the story before the main story. I'm not sure the novella would have been as interesting if you didn't already know the main story. So that being said, definitely worth reading if you've read The Girl You Left Behind.

Short and sweet, very short, prequel to The Girl you Left Behind.

it was ok, certainly leaving the door open for a full sized book which I will probably read at some point.

Ich freue mich schon auf die Fortsetzung, das "richtige" Buch :) Könnte richtig interessant werden :)
