I bought this on a whim when the kindle version was on sale. I ended up really loving it! The author comes across as very down-to-earth, relatable, and funny (but not funny in an annoying way). Reading this book with guidance about how to keep your house basically clean is like a breath of fresh air. She understands and has lived through all the basic and regular challenges that normal moms face as they try to keep their homes clean. It was a fairly quick read too. Great book!

I would have liked this book if she wouldn't have said in her 2nd book that this book would be more about practical tips on how to clean and organize your home. It isn't. It is more of the same. I skipped lots of chapters because I had already read them in her decluttering book.
Her writing style is funny and honest, but repetitive, not to the point and ' Prove it is'nt just me' aka reviews/ confessions from readers of her blog were not why I picked up this book.
I wanted practical tips, not endless monologues and brain washing on why I should declutter blablabla.

High literature? I mean, I guess not. But in terms of humor, encouragement, and actual life-changing-content, this book hit ALL the right notes for me! (If you're naturally very tidy and probably less nostalgia-prone than I am, this book is probably not for you.)

Favorite quarantine activity? Early spring cleaning. Favorite way to do it? While listening to audiobooks about cleaning. Favorite one so far? This one.

Though it is often repetitive, this book is full of actionable advice. The core concept boils down to habit forming, small steps, and continuous upkeep so that you stay ahead of the mess. I'm sure that there are plenty of people who this strategy would work for but even the author tells you it's not easy. If you struggle to form habits, this book might not live up to its title.
