once again another brilliant book in the Beachwood Bay series, its gripping from the star and all of the gang from the other books are also a big part of the book, but this one features around Carina (Juliet's sister) and Garrett the owner of the bar, they met briefly at the end of Juliet's wedding.

she is on the run from an abusive relationship and he is guarded with his feelings not wanting to get hurt again, they are both broken and become soulmates healing each other, but Garrett won't let his heart go and doesn't think he is good enough. This is a great love story.

For starters, I'm not fond of the cover, heh.

I have to admit, I was a little wary to start this book because I really didn't like Carina (pretty name, tho). But then it's Melody Grace, and I love all the previous books so yea I picked it up.

Unconditional is emotionally draining. Carina is so much more than I thought she was; I think she's probably my favorite character out of all in the series. She's so strong! And it's nice to see a different side of Garrett too; I thought of him as the big brother / comic relief in Hunter and Britt's book, so it's great to see that there are more layers to him.

Garrett x Carina steam factor: yoooooooooo

On top of everything, I love, love, LOVE the parts with Juliet. Carina and Juliet's relationship was damaged, but to see Carina take the first step in trying to mend it makes me love her even more.

A great read. I cried a lot, haha.

Stuck-up. Drama Queen. Bitch. That's what Carina is called. She lived in a perfect world, at least that is what people would see from the outside.

I had my problems with both protagonists.
First, Carina is engaged to a guy she doesn't live, a man who is selfish and who only pretends, who is negative in so many ways. But she stays with him cause it is so important to her what others think. Gr.
Second, Carina tells us she doesn't really like Garrett. So why again does she fall for his advances so quickly? I mean, yeah physical attraction and all. Wuhuuuu but that come on, I don't kiss a guy I don't like. Oh yeah and then she tells us she needs to feel something. Well, girl, pinch yourself?

Our hero still deals with a lot of shit that happened in his past. I liked that it takes a while for the reader to get to know his story. I expected something entirely different but it was great that that wasn't true.
Anyways, I didn't really like that he plays hot and cool with the heroine...

Writing Style?
Good. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with the way the heroine tried to prevent the hero from breaking up with her. A bit sappy...

Other than that, quick and satisfying read with a heroine who could be a bit stronger.
