Light-hearted, well-written fantasy, with interesting characters and a refreshingly honest POV. Myrh's narration really made the plot work: his honest assessment of the sometimes ridiculous situations he found himself in plus a sense of humor and general positive outlook on life kept the story grounded. I also liked how elements of sci-fi and fantasy were used almost interchangeably - magic as just another technology. But the best part for me was that Myrh and Terrin are from modern day (ish?) Earth, and have all the same reference points that I might have (can we talk about breaks in the space-time continuum some more?). Funny, clever, with likeable characters, and a twisting plot - I definitely recommend this one.

I liked the cheeky humour and tone of the book. But the characters fell fairly flat in development, and other than their witty banter were pretty one-dimensional. The changing body section of the book was an interesting idea but wasn't well written and the interchanging of names made it a hard to follow at times.

Fun read. Though nothing outstanding.
