Don't bother it took a biblical story and turned it into a trashy daytime soap opera. Terrible book.

This book tore me apart but still managed to be inspiring by the ending, definitely not a book I will forget any time soon. Makes me rethink a lot of the book of Genesis. Highly recommend, just proceed with caution for expected Biblical time grossness.

Like the beginning but got a little too gruesome at the end.

This book was unbelievable: the characters were really well developed, believable, and relatable. I loved that Diamant created this world about which we know only a little and made it so concrete and realistic. I also loved the relationships these women had with one another: part friendship/solidarity, part competition/jealousy.

Sometimes guterally saddening. But absolutely beautiful and something that has stuck with me

This was so interesting. It made me wish that the story had some hidden truths about Dinah’s history.

Loved this book! I particularly enjoyed the romanticism around the human body and what woman can do in general. We don't see a lot of these days, but it's a great reminder.
