This book feels very slice of life. I like that because it's a culture very different from my own.

This is a fictional account of Dinah’s life from the book of Genesis, honoring the stories and perspectives of women, especially Jacob’s wives, Rachel and Leah, Zilpah and Bilhah, and of course Dinah.

The tone is very spiritual and sensual at the same time, and Diamant’s prose is immersive.

I have so many feelings about this book, it's hard to write a review.
