The Red Tent is a beautiful read for anyone looking to be crushed but also uplifted. Despite not being a woman, I have learnt so much about womanhood from this book. Specifically,  I now have a deeper understanding of how their stories have been oppressed throughout history.
I hope one day to feel the contentment she found.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a complex, rambling read. The sheer amount of characters and names was slightly overwhelming, but I loved the narration and pacing. The writing was really good!

It's a beautifully written book; some parts were a bit of a lull and I didn't find myself liking them, mostly the sudden end to Dinah and Shelem's romance, but afterward the book took shape again and I found it really enjoyable. As much as I'm only woman-adjacent nowadays, the depictions of womanhood and mother-daughter relationships were really tender and I loved them.

Beautiful piece of historical fiction! Diamant brings the world of Biblical women to life with such vibrancy and honesty. She doesn't shy away from hardship and the ugly details of life, but also celebrates the strength, knowledge, and accomplishments of Dinah and the women who form her sisterhood.
