While I do prefer the books continuing the main storyline, I'm just not compelled by the Moors as a setting nor am I compelled by Jack and Jill.

And while I like the main cast of characters, there's just far too many for such short books.

I'm going to continue in the series, obviously, because the worldbuilding is great and the writing itself is so good. But I fear that the only book in the series that will be a knock out for me will have been the first one.

I'm always depressed when I finish a Wayward Children book, because it means I have to wait another year for the next installment. This was a great read. I really enjoyed being back in the nightmare that is The Moors, hoping that Jack can get her body back from her wicked twin sister, Jill.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next book takes us to Mariposa, though. I would love to explore Christopher's world, and given all that the did to help Jack and Alexis in The Moors, I definitely think he deserves his door and a chance to go back to his skeleton girlfriend.

The Wayward Children Series is one of my most favorite book series EVER, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Grimm style fairy tales, or the weird and disturbing.

You can tell Seanan is a Horror fan with the focus on the Moors and the twins again with this book. Another great addition to the series.
