I enjoyed this book. There weren't any big stand out moments, but there as a lot of world building that I enjoyed. Of course, big series like this one take time to find their footing, so I wasn't expecting explosive and amazing stuff right off the bat. I'm excited to see where the series goes.
I wasn't a big fan of how domineering Lucas got with Sascha near the end of the book, when she had decided she wanted to do things a certain way and he absolutely would not allow her to do them. Which, considering that's also a big point in a lot of Immortals After Dark books (the series I've come from immediately before starting this), doesn't usually bother me. But the difference is that in the other books, the heroine usually carries out her plan anyways. Whereas Sascha is told no, she argues, and then she accepts that Lucas will be telling her what to do. If that makes sense.
I also thought (ending spoilers)
My biggest issue with the book is just the quality of the audiobook dragged down my entire opinion. The audio was weirdly paced, the narrator wasn't the greatest, and there were moments where you could hear background noise (like a phone notification, or the clicking of what sounds like a door closing) on the audio itself.
All in all, I want to continue, but will probably read the next few, rather than listen to them while I'm at work. Which is kind of disappointing because listening has become my primary way to consume books at this point in time.

Enrique being the killer was kind of predictable, and I had kind of hoped that that wouldn't be the case. From nearly the second I saw him first on page, my instinct was "oh, that's the bad guy."My biggest issue with the book is just the quality of the audiobook dragged down my entire opinion. Not a great narration. Story not compelling. She is a psyh who should not have emotions but she does. She meets the alpha of the wolf pack. They fall. She thinks she will die if she leaves the psyh network.
Very fun and gripping. Aged okay, with a couple eyebrow-raising moments. I had a good time but don’t feel compelled to pick up the next book

Just finished my 2nd re-read and realized I had never done a review. Bad reader, bad!
I love this first book of the Psy-Changeling series. It begins to introduce you to the Psy, a race that has embraced Silence for the last 100 years, has removed and conditioned children not to feel. And the changelings, the leopards and the wolves, so fierce in their Packs and their loyalties!
This is the story of Lucas, alpha of the leopards, and Sascha, a "flawed" Psy. This is a beautiful love story and a wonderful intro to this incredible world.

This was on my summer tbr under the potential rabbit hole series category.
I read this as a tandem read - listening to the audio as I followed along on the ebook. I found it helpful for really grasping the world Singh is building. Which is pretty fascinating!
The tension and anticipation between Sascha and Lucas is sizzling from the start!
This series has touches of sci fi, paranormal, dystopian, and romantic suspense.
