It is the details that make this novel come alive. The reader begins to feel a part of the story and at so many points would you like to be able to change the course of history and the Titantic

Unfortunately not my cup of tea, but it was at least interesting to get a glimpse of the life of the elite in the early 20th century New York.

I was not invested in the characters or the plot.

Very good background describing the problems with anyone not following social norms; especially with high society. Interesting additional facts about sinking of Titanic, if true.

I had to force myself to finish it. Even set around one of the most romanticized tragedies of all time, it was one of the most boring books I've ever read. If you like reading about the "struggles" of the wealthy and a predictable love story, this book is for you. The only reason I was able to finish it, was because the writing was incredible, but the plot completely lost me.
