I wanted to enjoy this book more than I did. It was an interesting read but I would have liked to have spent more time learning g how Madeline managed as a young, widowed mother  after the sinking of the Titanic than their courtship.

I wanted more from this. I'm sure plenty of research went into it and it was written well, but it just felt lacking. Another Titanic story that doesn't really set itself apart from the others.

This is the first book in a long time i’ve made it halfway through and quit. With about 30% of the book left, I just was tired of the exuberance of this writing. Everything looks so good and tastes so sweet and it’s all just delectable. This book would be 50 pages if you took out all the over the top descriptions.
