I absolutely loved The South Wind. It’s a beautifully written, emotionally rich fantasy that dives deep into healing, power, and survival. Neve’s journey from icy queen to someone trying to rebuild herself in a harsh desert world is raw, real, and incredibly moving.
The worldbuilding is vivid, and the romance with Khareen is full of slow-burn tension and complex emotion. It’s a bit slower in the middle, but the character growth more than makes up for it. Warwick’s writing is lyrical and immersive, and she never shies away from emotional depth. It's a great fantasy read that blends myth, magic, and human vulnerability. With compelling characters and a vivid setting, it’s a worthy continuation of The Four Winds Series!

Definitely the worst in the series so far. I know immortal and mortal is common and there are even some I’m for, but the fact that Notus met Sarai when she was 18/19 felt weird to me.
Sarai is the worst MFC. While there was some growth, it felt like sudden self realization rather than her learning from her actions and temperament.
Notus wasn’t a favorite MMC…he kind of fell short and didn’t have a personality. There weren’t even any lovable secondary characters really.
This also kind of read weird like the author was trying to demonstrate diversity of south/Southeast Asia but it read like a white women writing her romanticized version of it.

They stopped in the middle of a battle, in a labyrinth while being hunted by a beast, to have sex and then a nap.
