This story was much better than the first book in the series (One Dance With A Duke). I thought the overall writing was better, the love story between these two leads was much more compelling. The character of Rhys was dynamic and well fleshed out and his backstory played so well into his belief of fate. The plot twists and character development was exceptional and left me wishing that some of the side characters got their own books just to see more into their minds and lives. I was hooked from page one and could barely put this book down to sleep.

After trying several new romance authors with less than happy results, it was a pleasure to return to a writer who knows how to plot a romance, and how to connect that plotting to character development. The Stud Club nonsense only marginally intruded, leaving the focus primarily on the two protagonists and how they change and come to realizations about themselves through their growing relationship.
