This is my third visit to this particular story. I originally read [b:Smuggler's Run: A Han Solo & Chewbacca Adventure|25067043|Smuggler's Run A Han Solo & Chewbacca Adventure (Star Wars)|Greg Rucka|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1437274933l/25067043._SY75_.jpg|44751857] in the early canon releases and eventually gave [b:Star Wars: Han and the Rebel Rescue|33357805|Star Wars Han and the Rebel Rescue|Nate Millici|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1497259288l/33357805._SX50_.jpg|54097622] a storybook viewing. I will say that while the images and narration have given life to this story, nothing quite makes this story come alive like this comic does. The thing that made this story really work in this format was improved pacing as well as the phenomenal artwork in each panel. If you are in to Han and Chewie stories, this one is a great one to read, even if you have already read this story in another format.
