The Bishop is such a great story in true Skye Warren fashion!
Anders is a doctor, trained to help and heal people, but he uses his talents to aid people who might not otherwise have a chance.
He meets Natalie at an auction where he has placed his rare and precious 900 year old Bishop chess piece up for auction.
Skye Warren writes beautiful stories, with complicated characters. She develops those characters painstakingly and with such detail that the reader believes they know them personally.
The Tanglewood stories are so entertaining and wonderful stories!

I know that this world Skye Warren has created is vast and deadly. And that's why her characters are so irresistible. I knew that Anders had to have his story and the way the plot progressed was balanced for a novella size. With cameo appearances and a mystery behind the stolen chess piece, this book will make long-time readers love it and new ones discover the amazing characters.

With each book by Skye Warren that I read, the more I fall in love with her way with words. I have been a Skye fan for some time now and as time goes by, I feel her books just keep getting better, if that's even possible. The woman is a master at her craft and her way with words will have you so deeply lost within the chapters of her book and The Bishop was no exception.

If you are familiar with Tanglewood series then you will have heard of Anders, well that is his story, and what a story it is!

This grabbed hold of me from the start of the book and didn't let up all the way through. It's deep, it's dark, it's emotional and it will have your mind reeling, your heart pounding and the hair on the back of your neck standing up. I know Skye's work and how amazing her dark romances... and just like the rest, this book had my mind on overdrive and had my jaw hitting the floor multiple times over. Ms. Warren doesn't just tell a story, she makes you feel like you are living it yourself. I was so fixated and addicted to this plot. I loved the way she played Natalie and Anders story and reading about all the other characters.

This book is part of A Tanglewood series but can be read as standalone.

This novella lacked for nothing, it was raw, all-consuming, addictive, enticing, dark and full of emotions! It's a MUST-READ!!

6/5 Stars!

Skye Warren is an author that will hook you in and you won't stop reading everything she writes, this book will hold you hostage until the end, I love the Tanglewood series, and so getting Ander's story was one I wanted to read, who can not love a sexy doctor? Natalie and Ander are perfect for each other, the plot is amazing and fortunately for everyone not familiar with the series, it can be read as a standalone. You will find as always the dark side and raw emotional ride from Skye Warren you are familiar with, also you will get to see Gabriel and Avery. Definitely a must read.

Natalie and Anders' story!

Suspenseful, twisted, dark, romantic or maybe more sensual!! The twists come from angles that you least expect. Skye Warren knows how to draw the reader into the story so well!

Anders who would have thought he was that deep in the darkness. The Bishop really gives a good detailed look at him.

Natalie is forced to steal his chess piece which he has for auction. Why and who makes her do this and at what cost?

Can these two work together?

Although a novella this story will give you all the feels!!!

Reasons I enjoyed this book:

Action-packed, Easy-to-read, Entertaining, Page-turner, Romantic, Twisted, Unpredictable

A very quick read of a captor turned lover. I felt like the story was a bit rushed. I wish the novella was just a tad bit longer so there was more room for character and story development.

Overall, not bad for a novella.

Cute novella featuring Doctor Anders from Skye Warren's Tanglewood! The romance was instant. The spice was 🔥🔥🔥! And the storyline unfolded beautifully.

Tanglewood's Gabriel, Avery, Damon and Penny made appearances and it was great to see where those charcters ended up! If you are a fan of Skye Warren's Endgame Trilogy and Masterpiece Duet, then this is a must read!
