Fun Regency romance with a bit of mystery.

This was mid but it was a fun enough read.

It was sweet and cute. I like that the romance between them was emotional, beautiful, and innocent rather than physical.

there were many things to like and dislike about this book. It is actually more likable. I really liked that Gavin saw her as an intellectual equal.

I hope to see or hear about Vivian, Eleanor, and Nicola in future books/

Pretty predictable plot. Girl is independent and feisty and so unlike all the other ladies of the ton. Enter handsome, dashing man also unlike other men of the ton. All of a sudden she realizes that maybe she does want to marry someone after all and how could either one of them have missed the fact that they have known each other all their lives and didn't notice how desirable the other was... Add a little mystery to thicken the plot and you have a regency romance for young adults. I didn't hate it, I actually liked it, but I think I prefer more sex in my romance novels. Or I should say that this book would have been better if it wasn't so Twilightish - appropriate for the genre with just a hint of sexuality. 2 stars and it is being returned to the library.

I read this book last year. It was fabulous. The plot was just AMAZING. A perfect classical novel.

Solid YA regency, better than many adult ones. The interests and personalities of the girls are a bit overly modern, but appealing. Towards the end, the declarations of love get to be a bit much, but it is a romance novel. Nothing beyond kissing, so might work well for adult romance readers who like things non-spicy. Recommended for those who like this sort of thing.

I just couldn't get into it....The girls were too giggly, the plot to obvious, and the dramatics unnecessary. AND coming from me, who loves the dramatic romance novels, no bueno.

Never finished.
