Slow burning start. It was base in Paris. She started over something from her past. Like her daughter death. He is an artist. They both like each other but don’t want to date each other, just sleep together why she in Paris for the next couple months. He is a mystery guy? He doesn’t want to talk his work. He is giving me red flag already but I’m only 37% into the boom so no clue what is going to happen next. So her ex-husband wants her to leave Paris because she not safe? So many questions going through my head. Her ex-husband is a bad guy and what happened may someone killed their daughter. James aka new guy is trying to save her. So she was having a mental breakdown and the story was fake make was just imaginary everything. And she ran over daughter omg didn’t see that one coming. The ending I got on.

In "Perfect Strangers," we journey with Olivia Rossi, a once-prolific author grappling with a two-year writing drought, a byproduct of a personal tragedy that continues to loom over her. Searching for healing and the elusive spark of inspiration, Olivia takes up a summer stay in a friend's Parisian apartment. It's here she encounters James—a captivating and mysterious stranger who becomes the muse she never anticipated. As they dive headfirst into a whirlwind romance, the two decide to keep details of their lives limited to just their first names. But as the summer days wane, Olivia discovers that her intense affair with James isn't as simple as it seems. The man she's losing her heart to may harbor secrets that challenge everything she believes in.

J.T. Geissinger's "Perfect Strangers" is a masterful blend of romance and suspense, all set against the enchanting backdrop of Paris. The author paints a vivid picture of a woman seeking solace and rediscovery, only to be swept up in a romance as unpredictable as it is passionate. Olivia's character evolution is beautifully portrayed. Her journey from heartbreak to healing, and then onto a path of unexpected love, resonates deeply. James, with his enigmatic allure, serves as the perfect foil, pushing Olivia's boundaries and reawakening her to the myriad possibilities of life and love.

Geissinger's storytelling prowess is evident in the palpable tension she maintains throughout. The decision for Olivia and James to share only their first names creates an air of mystery that's both tantalizing and foreboding. As readers, we're left hanging on every revelation, wondering what truths lie hidden behind James's magnetic persona. The setting of Paris—a city synonymous with love, art, and allure—adds an additional layer of magic to the narrative. The author captures the ambiance of the city flawlessly, making it a living, breathing character in the story.

In essence, "Perfect Strangers" is a delightful dance of passion and intrigue. Geissinger serves a compelling tale that explores trust, love, and the lengths we might go to for both. An enthralling read from start to finish, I can wholeheartedly see why one would give it a full five stars!
